Application

Type BP2 is an industrial temperature sensor with a valve plug connection (DIN EN 175301-803-A) and an interchangeable measuring insert – built for fast electrical connect and disconnect with a secure fixing of the cable. Marine approved by DNV, LR, BV, ABS, NK and RINA.

What is the Type BP2 temperature sensor used for?

The Type BP2 measures temperatures of liquid and gaseous media up to 250 °C. It is typically applied in processing plants, the shipping industry, refrigeration, the engineering industry and the energy sector.

Why a valve plug instead of a terminal head?

The valve plug (DIN EN 175301-803-A, formerly DIN 43650-A; PG9 or PG11, IP65) lets the sensor couple and uncouple electrically in one quick operation while the cable stays securely fixed – practical where sensors are serviced or exchanged frequently.

Can the measuring insert be replaced without stopping the system?

Yes. The measuring insert can be replaced or calibrated without shutting down the system.

Is the sensor approved for marine applications?

Yes. The Type BP2 is marine approved by DNV, LR, RINA, ABS, NK and BV.
